EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Katherine S. Ankerson was approved by the UNL Board as interim chancellor on Feb. 6 to lead the campus after Rodney Bennett’s departure (she previously served as executive vice chancellor). UNL President Gold said she is the right leader to guide the campus forward. KFOR
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A Lincoln senator introduced a bill that would remove the 16,000-seat cap at Pinnacle Bank Arena, a change that may let more fans attend Husker games and major events. Lawmakers will review the proposal in the coming weeks. Lincoln Journal Star

- ➤ The No. 9 Nebraska Cornhuskers ended a two-game losing streak with an 80-68 win over the Scarlet Knights on Saturday in Piscataway as Rienk Mast led with 26 points + Sam Hoiberg also reached double figures. They now prepare to face No. 12 Purdue Tuesday at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Nebraska Now
