- ➤ Lincoln Animal Control caught Honey, a doodle mix who had escaped home on Feb. 21 after tracking her from Capitol Beach and North Star High to a parking garage roof at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Officers confirmed she was healthy and quickly reunited her with relieved owners. KOLN
- ➤ The paved section of Salt Creek Levee Trail reopened Thursday under railroad bridges west of the Breslow Hockey Center after last week’s closure following a railroad bridge collapse; trail users were advised to stay cautious as cleanup continued (Union Pacific completed bridge repairs Tuesday). - ➤ The city will partially close three streets for utility work starting Saturday, with Y Street closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Randolph Street shut on Monday for sewer repairs (until March 13) and northbound South 48th Street closed Tuesday until work ends by March 17.
