- ➤ The University of Nebraska is under consideration as a new military education partner by the Department of War for the 2026-27 academic year, a shift that ends 93 fellowships at 22 institutions — highlighting intellectual freedom — and reflects the state’s long tradition of training military leaders. - ➤ Today, the body of Bellevue soldier Sgt. 1st Class Noah Tietjens, who died last weekend in Kuwait during a US attack on Iran, will return to the US at Dover Air Force Base — Iowa Congressman Zach Nunn and Senator Grassley plan to attend the transfer. KNOP

- ➤ The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department & Crusade Against Colon Cancer are offering free at-home colon cancer screening kits at select pharmacies for residents ages 45 to 74 until April 30. Residents should check pharmacy hours before visiting. KOLN
