- ➤ A Lincoln man (46-year-old Joseph Solie) was arrested early Friday morning after he fled at 130 mph on I-80 and was slowed with stop sticks near North Platte before stopping at Lincoln Highway RV Park where a trooper used a Taser to capture him. Nebraska Now
- ➤ Police recovered a stolen handgun (reported stolen in 2024) on Thursday at a home in northeast Lincoln near 71st Street and Leighton Avenue. Officers arrested Bryant Bruce for possessing a stolen firearm and charged Charles Lynch for unlawful possession while a 28-year-old man was cited for giving false information. Nebraska Now
- ➤ The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a scam where a scammer posing as a deceased relative fooled a tree service into removing a man’s mature maple tree after overpaying with a check—officials said the extra $4,000 was not returned and security video is being reviewed. KOLN
- ➤ Police are investigating two gunshot incidents in Lincoln where officers found spent shell casings and damage to three duplexes near North 30th and Orchard at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, and a call near 11th and Washington at 3:30 a.m. Friday—no injuries were reported. Nebraska Now
- ➤ Lincoln police arrested a 25-year-old man — Damarsell Miller — on March 12th after a narcotics taskforce search near Ninth and D streets found five guns, 5 pounds of suspected meth, 290 grams of suspected marijuana and $8,000 in cash in a Lincoln home. Nebraska Now
