- ➤ Governor Pillen and NDVA Director Hilgert honored Vietnam War veterans at a ceremony held Friday, Mar. 28 at the State Capitol. The governor signed a proclamation declaring Mar. 29 (Vietnam War Veterans Day) statewide. KFOR
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Carl Bouges, who survived a heart attack while dancing at Cappy's Bar & Grill on Saturday, met with his lifesaving group including retired nurse April Barker as dozens surprised him with a commemorative shirt; he later returned to dancing just four weeks after his triple bypass surgery. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Nebraska football team will host the Spring Game at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 11, featuring a scrimmage that marks the debut of newcomers such as quarterback Anthony Colandrea (broadcast at 6 and 10 p.m.). KNOP
- ➤ Nebraska officials explained the Spring Game rules and TV broadcast details. The game, scheduled to air at 11 a.m. on the Big Ten Network, will feature standard scoring with 15-minute quarters and a 10-minute halftime, and teams will wear red for offense and white for defense. KNOP
