- ➤ Lincoln Police responded on Sunday at 1:43 a.m. when a miniature horse was seen near Northwest 10th Street and West Dawes Avenue, and after giving the animal a quick pet and some strawberries, officers turned it over to Lincoln Animal Control—showing a friendly and prompt service—without further incident. - ➤ Computer Hardware is a family-owned business with stores in Lincoln (and in Kearney, Hastings and Grand Island) that celebrated its 45th anniversary on March 1. - ➤ The Nebraska Department of Education has approved a grant that will distribute $225,000 to 66 school districts to build detailed virtual maps of school buildings for faster emergency response (covering both public and private schools). - ➤ State Sen. George Dungan of Lincoln proposed LB 414 to create a suicide mortality review team in the Department of Veterans’ Affairs to review suicides with special focus on veterans.
