Survivors and experts on childhood trauma gathered Monday in Lincoln at a Beyond the Score panel hosted by BraveBe Child Advocacy Center to share tools and education aimed at preventing future hardship from adverse childhood experiences.

The event coincided with Child Abuse Prevention Month and Crime Victims’ Rights Week and offered the community ways to support one another.

Police said a Lincoln man—Michael Anderson, 33—was arrested on Sunday night in the parking lot of Kong’s Liquor after bypassing an ignition interlock device on his red pickup truck; he now faces charges including felony DUI, driving while revoked, and tampering with the device with a court date set for May 13.

Police arrested a 53-year-old man on a warrant for an assault that left a Lincoln man in intensive care on March 11 — the victim said he was attacked after refusing to hire him for a home improvement project.
