- ➤ A study by the University of Lincoln Bureau of Sociological Research revealed that one in six Nebraskans felt lonely some or all of the time. The study showed that 40% of unemployed and 30% of unmarried residents experienced loneliness—young adults aged 19 to 44 reported a 21% rate compared to 13% among older residents. KNOP
- ➤ The Meadowlane Community Pool closed two years ago after nearly 60 years of service and many local families lost a key community spot for swim teams and gatherings. - ➤ Police arrested 46-year-old Lori Leafty in northeast Lincoln on Saturday after she allegedly fired a gun and threatened someone at her home, and officials said a firearm was recovered with no one injured. KOLN
