- ➤ On Friday, Cornhusker Bank and People’s City Mission kicked off Sole Impact Distribution Day at the help center in Lincoln, where guests chose shoes, socks, and pizza, and the remaining pairs will be given to families in need. - ➤ The TeamMates mentoring program celebrated graduates and their mentors in Lincoln today as participants prepared for new journeys and honored the impact of consistent support—82 students were recognized with 23 earning scholarships from donors. - ➤ The city approved a permit (issued Friday) for a Wahoo-based construction company to demolish debris at the former Garner Industries site following last year’s tornado, and the work is expected to start in the coming weeks as recovery efforts continue. KOLN
- ➤ Lincoln voters will see a ballot that includes a proposal to ban housing discrimination (based on a renter’s or buyer’s source of income) and races for city council, the airport authority, and the school board.
