- ➤ A 23-year-old man from Lincoln was arrested early Sunday after allegedly leaving his car and threatening two people with a gun at an Interstate 80 off-ramp. Lincoln Journal Star
- ➤ A man was arrested Monday morning after stealing a vehicle from UNL’s campus when an officer saw a Jeep without headlights near Salt Creek and Antelope Valley Parkway at about 2:15 a.m.—20-year-old Aaron Gonzales now faces felony theft charges and is held in Lancaster County Jail. Nebraska Now
- ➤ Lincoln police arrested four suspects after reports of vehicles being broken into in a northeast neighborhood early Saturday — officers recovered a running truck near 59th and Aylesworth that held three stolen firearms, with two teens charged for theft and two others facing marijuana possession and trespassing charges. - ➤ Lincoln police are investigating the suspicious death of 89-year-old Virginia Patlan, who died on April 1 after injuries that did not match her reported fall, as caretaker accounts and prior abuse concerns deepen the inquiry—officials executed a search warrant to gather evidence—and no arrests have yet been made. - ➤ The Nebraska Economic Forecasting Advisory Board revised its deficit estimate, adding $190 million to both the current and next two fiscal years and leaving lawmakers less than a month to find the funds.
