- ➤ Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers warned that scammers are targeting Nebraskans with cryptocurrency fraud and romance scams, causing some victims to lose six-figure sums; officials urge anyone contacted to notify their bank or the FBI immediately. KNOP
- ➤ After stalling in committee for two weeks, Nebraska lawmakers moved the medical marijuana bill to the Legislative floor for debate later this month—State Sen. Rick Holdcroft said the discussion is expected soon. The bill will let patients use up to 2 ounces of marijuana flower if vaporized while smoking remains illegal and PTSD is not a qualifying condition. KOLN
- ➤ Nebraska lawmakers advanced an amended bill on Wednesday to remove a lifetime ban on food assistance for those with drug felony convictions with a 31-14 vote.
