- ➤ The 21st annual Tour de Lincoln bike rides kicked off last Thursday evening as dozens of cyclists rode 16 miles along southwest trails and finished at Jane Snyder Trails Center; rides will continue every Thursday in May at 6 p.m. KOLN
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Google will spend $10 million on a new underground pipeline to move waste cooling water from its data center on North 56th Street near I-80 to the Northeast Water Resource Recovery Facility on North 70th Street and McCormick Drive; construction begins mid-May with little traffic disruption. - ➤ AAA Nebraska reported that the average unleaded fuel price in Lincoln hit $4.11 on May 7, compared to $3.04 a year ago. A two-cent drop from Wednesday to Thursday indicates that prices may slow as oil fell to around $95 a barrel. KFOR

- ➤ CIRA offers a paid externship for law students to gain experience in immigration law at its Lincoln office this fall. The program lasts a semester with students working 15 to 20 hours a week (earning 3 to 6 credit hours) while meeting community needs for pro bono legal support. KOLN
