- ➤ On Sunday, the Lincoln Area Railway Historical Society held its annual train show at Sandhills Global Event Center with around 250 vendors (offering rides, miniature displays, and model exhibits) to highlight local railroad history and support the Food Bank of Lincoln with food donations. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ ASEZ WAO (an international nonprofit) planted over 30 trees at Tierra park near South 27th and Nebraska Parkway earlier this week to combat climate change and beautify the park with help from Lincoln Parks and Rec. KOLN

- ➤ A plane carrying 17 U.S. passengers from Spain will depart tonight for Omaha — Nebraska Medicine officials will monitor them for 42 days after exposure to hantavirus as all remain symptom-free. KOLN
