Lincoln police investigated a possible arson case reported Thursday night near South 20th and J when a 26-year-old woman saw a suspect run away after starting a fire in her window well and officers later found burnt electrical wiring and what appeared to be burnt animal feces at the scene.

Chudier Tut was sentenced Friday to 15 to 20 years in prison for second-degree assault for his role in a downtown Lincoln shooting that injured four people — his other charges were dismissed in a plea deal and he already served one year, making him eligible for parole in seven years.

A Nebraska charitable foundation has expanded its WanderNebraska project to promote visits to 213 lesser-known museums, libraries and sites across the state.
