- ➤ The Nebraska Public Service Commission approved a merger between Black Hills Corp. and NorthWestern Energy Group, Inc. on Tuesday (making Nebraska the first to approve) and the companies agreed to freeze base rate increases (NorthWestern until May 1, 2027 and Black Hills until May 1, 2028) to protect customers. - ➤ Nebraska health officials ordered two cruise ship passengers to quarantine at a local hospital (per CDC directive) while 16 other passengers remain under observation at the University of Nebraska Medical Center through May 31. Nebraska Now
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Lincoln Pius X girls' soccer secured the Class B state title tonight by defeating Blair 2 to 1 for their first win since 2005 and third championship overall. Coach Steve Andersen praised longtime seniors — who led the team with strong teamwork — and underclassmen after the game. Nebraska Now
