- ➤ The Lincoln Stars named Artt Brey as their ninth head coach yesterday; Brey (a familiar face who served as associate head coach for five seasons) expressed gratitude and plans to build a strong team culture. Nebraska Now
- ➤ The Lincoln Stars named Artt Brey as head coach after five seasons as assistant coach. The team will begin preparations at the Ice Box for its 31st season this fall+ Brey brings championship and player development experience from his playing days. KFOR
- ➤ On May 20, the Saltdogs split a doubleheader at Haymarket Park with Sioux City—losing the first game 6-0 and winning the second 3-2 to earn their first season win under manager James Frisbie. KFOR
- ➤ Former Nebraska football tight end Heinrich Haarberg signed with the Carolina Panthers after a strong Pro Day at Nebraska. The Kearney native spent five years at Nebraska and ran a 4.55-second 40-yard dash & recorded eight catches in 2025 as he enters the 2026 draft class. Nebraska Now
- ➤ Senior Miguel Solano scored the winning goal on Wednesday at Creighton University’s Morrison Stadium to give Lincoln Southwest a 1-0 state championship win in Class A boys soccer, earning the team its second title in program history. KFOR
