GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Jim Pillen ordered all U.S. and Nebraska flags to fly at half staff today for Memorial Day, and Nebraskans are encouraged to pray at 11 a.m. and observe a minute of silence at 3 p.m. Flags remain half staff from sunrise to noon. KNOP
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Nebraska will host the NCAA Baseball Regional starting Friday and lasting until Monday if needed (the full bracket is set to be announced Monday at 11 a.m. on ESPN2). This marks its first time hosting since 2008 as the Huskers boast a 23-1 home record. KNOP
- ➤ Nebraska softball earned a berth in the Women’s College World Series by sweeping Oklahoma State in the Lincoln Super Regional. The No. 4 Huskers will face No. 5 Arkansas at 8:30 p.m. CT at Devon Park in Oklahoma City from May 28 through June 5. KNOP
