COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ A new playground with a two-person slide, climbing equipment, a spinning chair and musical instruments opened at Star City Shores yesterday, offering families a fun new space. Officials say the facility will bring more recreational opportunities to the community. KNOP
- ➤ Lincoln Parks and Rec closed six pools (Ballard, University Place, Irving, Eden, Highlands and Star City Shores) on Memorial Day due to aging infrastructure, high heat and overcrowding. They expect to reopen all pools safely today. KOLN
