CRIME NEWS

  • Lincoln Crimestoppers is asking for help to find two suspects after a car was stolen from a south Lincoln parking garage near South 48th Street and Yankee Hill Road—police said the vehicle was taken between 6 p.m. on May 23 and 6:30 a.m. on May 24 and later found near Lincoln Airport at 9:45 a.m.  KOLN
  • Lincoln Police arrested 52-year-old David Anthony just after 9:15 a.m. Saturday on suspicion of three counts of burglary and one count of theft by unlawful taking of $5,000 or more after investigating thefts from an apartment complex on Jan. 18, March 21, and March 29 and a stolen vehicle near 40th Street on May 24—officials say the investigations are ongoing—.  Nebraska Now

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Lincoln Transportation and Utilities announced that starting Monday, June 2, Eastbound 'O' Street between 44th and 46th will close for wastewater repair while Northwest 12th Street between West Highland Boulevard and Kingbird Road will see lane closures for street improvements. Travelers should use alternate routes—work on 'O' Street will finish by June 9 and lane closures will continue through mid-July.  KFOR
  • Nebraska Game and Parks increased patrol measures in parks and Wildlife Management Areas to reduce alcohol-related boat and vehicle accidents and will continue the efforts through the end of August + the measures cover over 250 WMAs and 450 lakes and streams.  KOLN
