Pillen signed LB89, the Stand With Women Act, at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday — he was joined by Senator Kathleen Kauth and Nebraska female athletes who helped introduce the bill; the law, approved by a 33-16 vote, requires students to join sports teams based on legal sex while still allowing co-ed play when no female-only option exists.
