- ➤ A 30-year-old man was arrested early Sunday morning—he reportedly fled a fight at a business on North 27th Street—where a gun was believed to have been fired. Lincoln Journal Star
- ➤ A 30-year-old Lincoln woman was arrested for assault on two officers early Sunday when police responded to a call at Royal Grove near Northwest Fourth Street and Cornhusker Highway—she interfered with an arrest, punching one officer and grabbing another while a loaded 9mm Glock 19 was later found in her purse. - ➤ Kim Kaufman and her siblings are searching for recordings of their late father, Barry McDevitt, a Lincoln teacher and TV host who died from carbon monoxide inhalation in January 1977. The family and their daughter have reached out to Nebraska Public Media and others to locate taped episodes of his educational shows—'Simply Science' and 'Science Shed'—to hear his voice again. - ➤ High construction costs have led city officials to change plans for the Foxtail Meadows affordable housing project in southwest Lincoln—original plans for 21 detached homes will be replaced with up to 30 row-house style units set to sell for about $315,000, with many aimed at families earning 60% or 80% of the Area Median Income. The City Council will soon vote on the revised plan, which includes up to $30,000 in down payment assistance and is supported by $3.74 million in city funding. Lincoln Journal Star
