- ➤ Authorities are searching for 38-year-old Cherelle Stabler—who is 5’8” tall, weighs 250 lbs, and has brown hair and brown eyes—after she went missing Tuesday afternoon from the Community Corrections Center in Lincoln while on a job search furlough. KOLN
- ➤ A 30-year-old woman named Akilah Akbar was arrested in Lincoln for allegedly assaulting officers and interfering with an arrest at 340 W Cornhusker Hwy—she was also found with a loaded 9mm Glock 19 handgun while under the influence. Fox Nebraska
- ➤ Lincoln Police charged 29-year-old Chiragkmumar Padsala after a local man nearly lost $100,000 in an elaborate scam that involved a fraudulent email, a gold purchase as a refund, and a false claim of owing an extra $100,000—Padsala now faces charges for unlawful taking of over $5,000 with his bond set at 10% of $1,000,000 and a hearing scheduled for July 9. - ➤ Lincoln Public Schools said its current transportation hub became too crowded, so the board considered buying 20 acres near Northwest High School for nearly $3 million to use as a potential future bus hub with quick access to Interstate 80. The proposal went before the board Tuesday evening and the district will decide at its June 24 meeting if the new property will be used — any change would repurpose the current site to expand the distribution center.
