- ➤ On Sunday, firefighters responded to a fire at the Argosy Apartments in east Lincoln just after 3 p.m.—residents were evacuated and a man who tried to put out the blaze was taken to hospital after a dryer reportedly ignited and caused room damage, with the incident under investigation. KOLN
- ➤ A collision between a westbound vehicle and a motorized bike crossing mid block in midtown Lincoln left the 29-year-old rider in critical but stable condition at a hospital—responders provided aid quickly. KFOR

- ➤ Officials announced that the state's three largest counties will receive $13.5 million in grants (Lancaster County will get $2.65 million) to support affordable housing projects. Lincoln Journal Star
- ➤ People’s City Mission plans a 69,000 square-foot expansion near 110 Q St.—the project will upgrade the men’s shelter to include a low-barrier section if the county provides a police presence and add a new women and children’s shelter, with planning commission approval expected on June 25. - ➤ Lincoln immigration lawyer Allison Heimes said the legal citizenship process takes a long time because outdated rules—few judges and slow hearings—create a large backlog that leaves many immigrants with insecure status while waiting for their green cards.
