- ➤ Lincoln Police arrested 31-year-old Tony Rucks on Wednesday after officers found cocaine, MDMA, a handgun - and other illegal items - in his home, and he now faces seven charges including drug and firearm offenses. KOLN
- ➤ Tony Rucks, 31, was arrested Wednesday in central Lincoln on felony drug charges and for evading arrest when investigators—after a March 11 surveillance near 17th and F streets—searched his apartment and found cocaine, MDMA pills, marijuana, digital scales, promethazine, a .38 caliber revolver, bullets, and $810 in cash. - ➤ A 42-year-old man in Lincoln was sentenced to 25-36 years in prison after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a teenage girl on Wednesday; the prosecutor said Mr. Muñoz is a predator. Lincoln Journal Star
- ➤ Lincoln police said that 32-year-old Jeremiah Tanner—accused of broadcasting an assault on his roommate on a porn site—was arrested in northwestern Ohio and booked Monday evening at Lancaster County jail. Lincoln Journal Star

- ➤ The Malone Center will host its annual Juneteenth celebration tomorrow at Wood’s Park from noon to 3 p.m. to mark 160 years of freedom and share community stories—entry and food are free. KOLN
- ➤ Kwame Gyamfi, a leader at the Malone Center, launched his memoir Prism of Perspectives on Juneteenth at Francie and Finch Bookshop to share his story of childhood abandonment, foster care, gang violence and prison. - ➤ The UNL College of Engineering is recycling 2 million plastic bags into asphalt to pave a 4,000-foot section of Foundry Road in South Sioux City near Siouxland Freedom Park—this pilot project also covers an extension of the Al Bengtson Bicycle Trail. The project is a collaboration with the Nebraska Department of Transportation, the Nebraska Environmental Trust, and First Star Recycling, and it received a $500,000 grant from the trust.
