- ➤ Lincoln Police rescued four dogs from a hot car at Gateway Mall after the animals were trapped in a locked vehicle for about 45 minutes (the inside temperature reached nearly 99°) and cited a 56-year-old from Idaho for the incident. KOLN

- ➤ The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s board approved a new Bachelor in Multidisciplinary Studies program for transfer students—while the UNO chancellor warned that its similar name to an established program from 1951 could cause confusion.
