- ➤ A Lincoln man was found guilty Monday of first degree murder and three counts of sexual assault in the 2021 death of 23 year old Carly Schaaf as the Lancaster County District Court jury determined he drugged and assaulted Schaaf on May 17, 2021 (charges against his girlfriend and brother are pending) and later dumped her body at Pawnee Lake (their court dates have been delayed). - ➤ Lincoln Public Schools proposed a draft budget that drops the property tax levy by 7 cents to about $1.04 per $100 valuation while increasing spending 3.63% to nearly $558.7M for the 2025-26 school year.
