- ➤ A 23-year-old man named Hunter Robertson was arrested Friday night at 48th and O streets in Lincoln after leaving the scene of a motorcycle crash—he faces charges of failing to stop and render aid, reckless driving, and not holding a motorcycle license. Nebraska Now

- ➤ Last week, a tactile 3-D model of the Pershing mural was unveiled at the Nebraska History Museum to allow blind and visually impaired visitors to experience the artwork through touch and audio prompts—providing new access to an iconic piece of Lincoln's history. The model was created with funding from the Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired as part of broader efforts to restore and preserve the mural. Lincoln Journal Star
- ➤ The Lincoln Handweaver’s Guild, near 48th Street and Cooper Avenue, has brought local artisans together to spin and weave fibers in a creative space for nearly 80 years — its members help keep an age-old craft alive. - ➤ Lincoln Airport received six bids on June 12 for rebuilding its nearly 13,000-foot runway, with Constructors Inc. submitting an 85-million-dollar bid that is well below the 104-million-dollar estimate. The board will award the contract after a 90-day hold period and FAA grant approval, and United Airlines added a fifth flight to Denver in May while planning a new Chicago flight for September. - ➤ A new state law now allows EMS crews to treat and transport injured K-9s employed by law enforcement, fire, corrections, and other agencies in the line of duty.
