CRIME NEWS

  • A 23-year-old Nebraska man, Mario Nikprelaj, was arrested on Thursday night on charges of disorderly conduct, assault, tax stamp and first-degree harassment after he caused a disturbance by trying to open an emergency exit on a flight from Omaha that made an unscheduled landing in Cedar Rapids—police said he could face additional charges as the investigation continues.  Nebraska Now

HEALTH NEWS

  • Healthcare workers have faced an average of 41 violent episodes from patients each year, and hospital leaders say stronger legal protections are needed.
