- ➤ A 23-year-old Nebraska man, Mario Nikprelaj, was arrested on Thursday night on charges of disorderly conduct, assault, tax stamp and first-degree harassment after he caused a disturbance by trying to open an emergency exit on a flight from Omaha that made an unscheduled landing in Cedar Rapids—police said he could face additional charges as the investigation continues. - ➤ Lincoln Police arrested Conner Shafer near Express Smoke Shop on 14th and L streets after he attempted a break-in with a metal stick just after 12:30 a.m. on Thursday — he is now held at Lancaster County Jail. KOLN
- ➤ Gavin Thompson (23) of Dodgeville, Wisconsin, was arraigned in Lancaster County on charges related to the killing of 67-year-old Dorinda Segebrecht and other crimes, including operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest and hiding a corpse; a judge set his bond at 10% of $5 million, and he will face court again on Aug. 26.
