  • Lincoln Police are looking for a man who robbed Moore Pawn Wednesday night when he broke a window—near 16th and M streets—and stole a guitar, causing over $1,000 in damage.  KOLN

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Less than 20 days remain until Lincoln students start the 2025-26 school year as they prepare with new backpacks and supplies. The first day of school marks the end of summer break—setting the stage for a return to classroom learning.  Lincoln Journal Star

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Twin Platte NRD remains optimistic that the Colorado lawsuit will benefit Nebraska producers as Lincoln County’s Kent Miller has advocated these changes for decades—his steady support shows local confidence—while legal proceedings continue.  KNOP
  • Nebraska returned to a projected deficit of about $95 million after May and June tax receipts came in $86 million below forecasts and lawmakers added an extra $10 million from cash funds, as stated by Legislative Fiscal Analyst Keisha Patent at the Tax Rate Review Committee meeting. Appropriations Committee Chair State Sen. Rob Clements said lawmakers will focus on spending controls while Gov.
