ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Lincoln Police responded to a crash in central Lincoln on Saturday near South 16th and E streets at 12:40 a.m. when an ambulance hit a turning vehicle & two ambulance occupants were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries while the vehicle's sole driver was cited for a suspended license and failure to signal. - ➤ A pregnant woman was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash near 56th Street and Raymond Road — just east of Branched Oak Lake — and authorities closed both directions of the road for at least an hour as they investigated the incident. Nebraska Now

- ➤ Thousands attended the Lincoln Renaissance Festival on Saturday at the Outdoor Education Center where people in costumes cheered during jousting and enjoyed turkey legs as the event returned after decades. - ➤ Congressman Mike Flood will hold an in-person town hall on Aug. 4 at Kimball Recital Hall on UNL’s City Campus from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. — doors open at 4:30 p.m. — and he will take questions from Lincoln residents after updating them on local projects. KFOR
- ➤ The Nebraska Capitol Environs Commission approved the city's plan to remove 29 aging trees along Goodhue Boulevard and replant 131 new trees — 55 along Goodhue this fall and 76 on nearby streets in the spring — after arborists flagged significant decay.
