- ➤ Vision Maker Media, a Lincoln-based media company that funds most Native American public content, said it will lose half its operating budget after Congress pulled federal funding from the CPB. - ➤ Lincoln Public Schools Interim Superintendent Dr. John Skretta spoke at Rotary Club 14 on Tuesday to say that federal funds for English language learner programs, family literacy, and migrant education were released after delays. - ➤ West A Street reopened on Tuesday after a two-year project that extended the road from Southwest 40th Street to South Coddington Avenue, with improvements including new pavement, roundabouts and ADA-compliant sidewalks. - ➤ The Nebraska Medical Cannabis Commission is struggling with a lack of state funding that hampers hiring staff, buying seed-to-sale software, and enforcing temporary regulations in effect through Sept. 28—commissioners plan to share resources with the Liquor Control Commission and update licensing rules before approving the first cannabis establishment licenses by Oct. 1.
