Nebraska’s State Advisory Board for Behavioral Health in Lincoln asked lawmakers to fund long-term mental health and substance abuse treatment by recommending assisted outpatient therapy + related programs that could save more than $300 million by reducing homelessness, crime, and hospitalizations. The board will share its recommendations with state senators to guide upcoming budget decisions.

On Friday, Nebraska Athletic Director Troy Dannen briefed the media on Memorial Stadium renovations, noting the project will not go to the board soon and explaining a revenue-sharing plan that will distribute ($20.5 million among 24 athletic programs) with direct payments for select players.
