ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Police responded to a crash near 48th and R streets in east Lincoln on Sunday at 2:32 p.m.—they are still looking into the scene. KOLN
- ➤ Police reported that a northbound SUV hit an eastbound motorcycle near North 90th and Adams streets (at 5:25 p.m. on Sunday), killing the motorcyclist while the SUV driver was taken to a local hospital and speed is believed to be a factor. KOLN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lancaster County officials are investigating why legal fees for defending indigent clients have more than doubled over the past five years—rising from $7.1 million to $11.2 million and straining county budgets. They plan to review case practices and workload standards to find ways to control these costs. Lincoln Journal Star
