- ➤ Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and city officials cut the ribbon on the new Union at Antelope Valley today. The $52.7 million project will provide 187 affordable housing units for people earning less than 60% of the area median income and features a fitness center, dog park, parking garage, and courtyard with a playground — part of the city’s plan to add 5,000 new affordable homes by 2030. - ➤ On Tuesday, a driver from Palmyra who is 56 years old pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide for the death of Nebraska State Trooper Kyle McAcy, who was struck after he asked the snowplow to move following a Feb. 17 crash on Interstate 80 — his next court hearing is set for Oct. 21. - ➤ Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln received a $10 million upgrade that improved fan experience with a new center scoreboard over 12 feet taller and increased pixels alongside 350 new WiFi access points and a 10GB network upgrade.
