- ➤ Tallgrass Energy will soon start its $1.5 billion CO2 pipeline that will carry carbon dioxide from Nebraska and Iowa ethanol plants on a 392-mile route — the project will share an initial $500,000 through a fund that helps more than 230 rural communities. - ➤ Lincoln Public Schools is preparing for homecoming by adding extra safety measures for athletic events and student activities — they are deploying staff, law enforcement, and emergency plans. - ➤ Lincoln Public Schools is considering switching from SchoolMessenger to a new cloud-based messaging app—Apptegy to improve school communications. - ➤ Lincoln will officially partner with CenterPointe next week on its first permanent supportive housing facility at the corner of 8th and J streets downtown to help reduce chronic homelessness by offering independent living support—24 single bed apartments, common spaces, and offices for CenterPointe staff. The building broke ground in October 2024 and will have staff in by mid-November with residents moving in at the start of December. KOLN
