EDUCATION NEWS

  • The University of Nebraska now spends more on administrators and managers than on faculty, with administrative spending rising from $155 million in 2000 to $484 million today—while inflation-adjusted faculty pay has fallen at several campuses. Faculty and officials say this shift may hurt academic quality and the university’s ability to secure research contracts, prompting concerns over future cuts and budget challenges.  KOLN

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Thousands gathered outside the State Capitol in downtown Lincoln for the second No Kings protest as they voiced their concerns over government actions and demanded protection of rights.
