- ➤ Nebraska football will kick off at 6:00 p.m. Central as they face the Penn State Nittany Lions in State College on Saturday, Nov. 22 — the game will be broadcast on First Alert 6 and follows the Huskers' bye week while Penn State recently beat Michigan State 28-10. KNOP
- ➤ The No. 1 Nebraska volleyball team swept USC with scores of 25-13, 25-16, and 25-20 on Sunday afternoon at the Galen Center—drawing a record crowd of 9,072. The Huskers improved to a 26-0 record and will host Iowa at 7 p.m. on Thursday. KNOP
- ➤ Kip Brigham broke records Friday night by scoring five touchdowns and over 300 scrimmage yards in the semifinal win, and he has totaled 2,571 rushing yards and 50 touchdowns this season while holding the Class C1 record for most points scored—placing him in the top ten nationwide in total touchdowns as he leads Wahoo toward a state championship. - ➤ Lincoln first responders won the inaugural Hometown Heroes Hockey Faceoff Sunday afternoon when Team 402's Finest beat Siouxland's Bravest by a score of 4 to 2. The event honored local ambassador Isai Soriano who was recently diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy — funds raised will support First Responders Foundation Lincoln and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. - ➤ Nebraska women's basketball beat North Dakota State 82-70 at the Sanford Pentagon (their home arena) on Sunday, led by Amiah Hargrove who scored a team-high 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds. The Huskers improved to 4-0 while NDSU fell to 2-2 as balanced scoring helped Nebraska overcome an early deficit. KNOP
- ➤ On Sunday, Nov 16, the Nebraska wrestling team finished fourth among 16 teams at the National Duals in Tulsa—earning $75,000 in prize money. After losing to Ohio State in the semifinals, the team secured two ranked wins before falling to Oklahoma State in the third-place match. KNOP
