- ➤ On Thanksgiving Day, People’s City Mission in Lincoln served nearly 900 guests a restaurant-style meal at its temporary Q Street facility where paper menus allowed volunteers to deliver orders directly—helping those in need feel part of the community. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Sept. 21, 2024, a Lincoln man survived a near-fatal motorcycle crash when a delivery van turned in front of his Harley Davidson near 33rd Street and Nebraska Parkway—he spent nearly 50 days in the ICU at Bryan Medical Trauma Center, underwent extensive treatment, and now lives with long-term physical limits while reflecting on his gratitude for life. - ➤ Omaha will host a celebration on December 7 from 6—9 p.m. at The Garden Theater to welcome Nebraska native Audrey Eckert, crowned Miss USA 2025 after competing in the 74th pageant in Nevada and placing as a semifinalist at Miss Universe 2025. The event will honor the former NCAA Division I athlete from Lincoln who also earned the title of Miss Nebraska USA earlier this year. KOLN
