- ➤ Nebraska Wesleyan University students in their first 'Give to Learn' class awarded a $10,000 grant to Good Neighbor Community Center after selecting from eight local nonprofits. The center will use funds to launch Ali’s Closet (a children’s clothing program honoring a late son) set to open in January. KOLN
- ➤ Channel 8 held its second annual winter coat drive with the People’s City Mission on Thursday until 6 p.m. at its station, where over 1,100 coats were donated by 11:45 a.m. Pastor Tom Barber said the donations address an essential need as temperatures drop. Nebraska Now

- ➤ The No. 23 Nebraska men’s basketball team beat Wisconsin 90-60 at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Dec. 10. Rienk Mast (17 points, 10 rebounds) led five players in double figures as Nebraska improved its record to 10-0 with a 14-game win streak and marked first Big Ten opener win since 2018. KFOR
