- ➤ Brad Anderson, 10/11’s Chief Meteorologist, celebrated 30 years at the station yesterday, marking three decades of local weather forecasts that have informed and connected our community. KOLN
- ➤ Dozens of veterans, military personnel, and family members gathered at Wyuka Cemetery on Saturday, Dec. 13 to lay over 2,000 wreaths honoring fallen service members. Chief Master Sergeant Teri Clark & volunteer Blue Star Moms gave heartfelt remarks during the gathering. KOLN
- ➤ Martinosky was a beloved outreach coordinator at CenterPointe — he started a program with police to help house people experiencing homelessness and support those in need. His work left a lasting impact on the local community. Lincoln Journal Star
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lincoln Transportation and Utilities completed major upgrades on South 56th Street between Normal and Pioneers, improving travel and pedestrian safety. Crews will return in spring to finish repairs, install new curb ramps and update pedestrian signals. KFOR
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Nebraska men’s basketball won 83-80 over Illinois Saturday after Jamarques Lawrence’s game-winning three-pointer with 0.2 seconds left secured the win. The Huskers now hold an 11-0 record as they begin their conference schedule. Nebraska Now
- ➤ The No. 1 Huskers swept Kansas 25-12, 25-11, 25-12 on Friday at John Cook Arena & Bob Devaney Sports Center before 8,800 fans. They will face Texas A&M today at 2 p.m. on ABC. KFOR
