- ➤ Residents in Panama, a small town southeast of Lincoln, have endured over four days without landline and internet service that disrupts vital communication including healthcare appointments; Windstream said outages can take up to a week to resolve & affected customers will receive a credit for the lost service. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Lincoln Northwest students earned free CPR certification on Monday through the Bryan College of Health Sciences Focus Program and passed their CNA exam to kickstart their medical careers. Instructors said having more certified individuals bolsters community response in emergencies. KOLN
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ On Sunday, Dec. 14, the Huskers women’s volleyball team lost to Texas A&M in the Final Four, ending their season and canceling what was expected in Kansas City. The loss led to lower ticket prices while fans who secured tickets early still plan to attend matches & support the team. Nebraska Now
- ➤ Lincoln Lutheran head volleyball coach Sue Ziegler announced her retirement on Monday, ending a 28-year career + 600 wins and six state championships. A search for a new head coach will begin immediately. Nebraska Now
