- ➤ Yesterday, Lynette’s Angels delivered Christmas gifts to four families battling cancer with support from over 100 local businesses & community members in their tenth and final year of service. The nonprofit, founded in memory of Aunt Lynette, provided practical help to ease holiday burdens. Nebraska Now
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) is urging residents to properly manage holiday waste today by using its free online service What Bin Does It Go In? for recycling guidance and proper disposal of hazardous items. The department advises against wishcycling and reminds recyclers to drop off items on weekdays. KFOR
- ➤ Lincoln Transportation and Utilities is hosting Christmas tree and light recycling at parks including Ballard Park and Holmes Lake Park from Dec. 25 to Jan. 19, 2026. Boy Scout Troop 8 and the Recycle Holiday Lights Drive offer free tree pickup and light drop off, with donations supporting local programs. KOLN
